The Bougnat is a media start-up with a mission: create a world of peace, progress, and beauty. Our content —whether that’s text, audio, images or video— answers the question: 💡 what could we do to create a world of peace, progress, and beauty? 💡

We know that there isn’t one right path and we know that we need to try out different approaches. That’s why it’s crucial for different ideas to come forward and to be shared with people.

More Context

Media: We think about media in terms of information. And we think that information is the most powerful and fundamental tool in shaping people’s behaviours.

Ideas for action: We are not satisfied with pointing out, describing or explaining problems or opportunities, but we want to highlight ideas that can be tried out and implemented. We believe that this is lacking and badly needed.

Ideas can be very specific and niche but also broadly applicable. Both are very important. They can apply to beauty or peace or progress, or to all three.

Progress: We believe in something better. Humans have the capacity to create a better world, to make progress.

Peace: We believe in harmony. Humans have the capacity to live together in peace, without fear or inflicting fear and violence on others.

Beauty: Life would be meaningless without the feeling of awe, moments of amazement, things that take your breath away. Humans can create that too.
