There is no individual
A friend of mine gave birth to her son a week ago. A friend of mine had her son physically detach from her a week ago. A friend of mine has been nurturing her son for a week now. There is no birth of an individual. There is the birth of a human being attached and dependent on his mother. The human being doesn’t grow up to become an independent individual. The human being grows up to become a connected part to a bigger organism of human beings.
It was the birthday of two friends of mine yesterday. It was the birthday of 156 organs yesterday. It was the birthday of 60 to 200 trillion cells yesterday. There is no birthday of an individual. There is the birthday of groups of things that have been cooperating to form one system. There is no celebration of the birthday of one individual. There is the celebration of a human being, being part of a bigger organism of human beings.
There is no individual. Everything exists in the context of groups and systems.
