Recentering
My favorite way to recenter emotionally and intellectually is by going on long walks in nature. Preferably, on a sunny day, by myself, barefoot, without music or anything else that might distract me from doing nothing besides walking, looking around and unwind. To make sure that I stay centered, I force myself to do these walks regularly whether I feel like it or not.
Yesterday, I went on one of these walks. I noticed that I only really realise that a walk was needed once I am doing it. The harder it is in the moment to just enjoy the walk the more I realise that it was necessary. Yesterday it was hard but the landscape was beautiful.
