Human Existence
An existence
What's the most probable way for my current existence to survive, given the input from the interaction with another existence?
The input depends on the other existence, but also on my current existence. Therefore, the interaction that is taking place depends on both existences. For an interaction to occur, both existences need to have overlapping properties. If it does occur, one existence becomes a part of the other one and vice versa.
What constitutes an existence is not random. It consists of inferior existences, whose overlapping properties and interactions with other existences created it.
The driver behind existences interacting in the first place, is that every existence wants to exist. In fact, existences needs other existences to exist, so that they themselves can exist. Without interactions there is no existence. Also, there is nothing in the universe that purposefully destroys itself independently of any interactions or lack of interactions with other existences. The reason it does happen is that one existence is always a small part of a more sophisticated existence which it doesn’t directly interact with since there are no overlapping properties. It simply is one of the existences that created it. In order for the bigger existence to keep existing it needs the smaller existences making it up, to be in harmony. If the smaller existences do not serve the current state of the bigger existence it will be destroyed sooner or later. That’s what we perceive as increasing randomness. The second law of thermodynamics says that “the total entropy of a system either increases or remains constant in any spontaneous process; it never decreases.” Entropy can be interpreted as randomness. It is impossible for the smaller existence to figure out what the bigger existence needs to keep existing since it can’t interact with it.
When randomness increases in the eye of an existence it is simply order that is created in a more sophisticated system that the smaller existence has no chance to interact with.
The only way for an existence to keep existing is therefore to figure out how to avoid randomness. This can be done by option 1, serving the bigger existence and therefore helping it to keep harmony, or option 2 to figure out a way to interact with the bigger existence by “upgrading itself” to the point where it becomes independent/free of the bigger existence by integrating it in its own existence, and by doing that becoming the bigger existence. The second option is the only one viable in the real world, since the first one requires an existence to know what the bigger existence needs to stay in harmony, and before that it needs the capability to know exactly what the bigger existence actually is. As I’ve mentioned before, that’s impossible. It also requires all other existences to “agree” on the fact that the bigger existence needs to be served and for all to know what the bigger existence needs. This is impossible and would require the existence of it all to just be one homogenous existence. That’s obviously not the case.
A Human
So that’s what an existence does: integrating existences in its own existence and by doing that “upgrading itself”. Translated into the human world that results into: Humans take in information and transform it into actions, which are creations. These creations allow humans to integrate existences that weren’t accessible to them before the creation, into their own. These creations expose overlapping properties between newly accessible existences and human beings.
How and what a human creates depends on multiple factors. Humans live in a 4 dimensional world, 3 dimensions of space and 1 dimension of time. So space and time impact what a human creates and gives us hypothetical information of the kind of existences a human could have potentially interacted with (the whole physical world). However, as I’ve mentioned previously, interactions depend on both existences. So, it also depends on the state of existence of the human at every moment in time and location in space. The state of existence of the human being depends on the type of existences it has interacted with since its conception (experiences). The type of existences it has interacted with since its conception depends on its genes which depend on everything that happened before the human was born.
These are all the elements that are responsible for shaping a human’s reality. It’s where every existence making up a human comes together to make sense of things - interact.
These days we hold the mind and thinking responsible for the decision making and action taking of a human. I’m questioning that and would like to argue that simple existence and interactions between existences lead to decision making. However, for the sake of simplicity, let’s call this human process of interaction, thinking.
We have assigned the mind to take on the role of thinker and decision maker, simply assuming that it has free will. The truth is, we don’t know where the capacity to think and to be aware and to be conscious actually comes from, or what it actually is. All we know is that the thinking part of a human being, seems to be responsible for the interaction of a human’s existence with all other existences of the whole physical world. And so here we can go back to what I’ve mentioned previously: “[…] option 2; to figure out a way to interact with the bigger existence by “upgrading itself” to the point where it becomes independent/free of the bigger existence by integrating it in its own existence, and by doing that becoming the bigger existence.”
Thinking gives a human being the freedom it needs to live. A human existence exists if it is able to think. And to think, is necessary for a human being to survive. The best way to survive is to learn how to think.
“(...) if you've really learned how to think, how to pay attention, then you will know you have other options.” David Foster Wallace
