2. Hani: Onboarding of network participants & smart contract
This post will go into the details of point 2 of the ETHCC Hackathon prep post:
Here is a screenshot of point 2 of that post:
The most important thing here is that this process is part of the product itself and not something apart in the way most projects define DAO’s.
To onboard network participants we focus on 2 things. Education and relationships. There are 2 different paths for people to join the network:
a conversation feeding into the podcast channel
an educational piece for the Substack newsletter
Network participants are added to the network by having a token minted and dropped in their wallet after doing one of these 2 things. Its automatic and directly done once conversation or article is published.
Going into details:
We need:
An NFT needs to be minted every time an article or a podcast is published.
Need to figure out how to connect youtube, or substack to a smart contract. See if their API’s make the information we need available. If there is no way, might consider to write on mirror and share videos on some web3 video and/or audio platform. We could share it on some web3 platform and manually share it on spotify or youtube later on.
With this NFT you have access to voting on proposals regarding Hani, treasury management and investment decisions of Hani.
Proposal and execution of proposal is the same as on Nouns for now.
